New employee for the sales department

UP is delighted to welcome Benedikt Hadersbeck as the newest member of the Sales team.

"Hello everyone! I am very pleased to be able to play an active role at UP in the future and would like to briefly introduce myself. My name is Benedikt, I am 25 years old and have been an enthusiastic paraglider pilot for more than 6 years. After completing my tourism studies, I wanted to work in the paragliding industry, so the position advertised at UP was a perfect fit! It's a wonderful way to combine hobby and career. After my first week at UP, I can already say that I feel very welcome here and am already looking forward to working in the UP team. You will definitely meet me at test festivals and I look forward to exchanging ideas with the community. I wish everyone a safe flight at all times!"

Test report on MERU 2 (EN/LTF D) from "Dust of the Universe"

Ziad Bassil, known for his blog "Dust of the Universe", has flown the MERU 2 (accompanied by a ZENO 2 pilot - an interesting comparison) and published a review. The full text can be read on his blog - we share his conclusion here for you.

Conclusion: "The Meru 2 has a different feel from the Meru 1 while having the same comfort underneath. I felt it is better to load it when conditions are strong probably to get that snappy turn and feel. In moderate conditions, flying it at 98 (kg / talking of size SM) is ok. The glide at the speed bar seems very good with a stiff solid feel from the glider. I could prefer softer brakes and a quicker turn radius, but as I mentioned on good days, a loaded Meru 2 is an efficient gliding machine to go far or to win comps." (Ziad Bassil, Mach 9th 2024)

Test report on MANA 2 (EN/LTF A) in Thermik Magazine

An all-rounder with "A" certification that inspires students, mountain sports enthusiasts and travellers alike. Read in detail (German) in Thermik Magazin 1-2/2024, as Robert Kubin puts it - we have copied a small flavour from his conclusion here.

"(...) With the MANA 2, UP has created a great wing that is not only easy to carry, but also easy to fly without restricting the pilot. The low weight and small pack size also mean that the MANA 2 can be taken on holiday, even in hand luggage. Chapeau, Franta!" (Thermik Magazine 1-2/2024, page 64)

Many thanks to Team Thermik!
